In the months after PunkDog first came into the world we’ve been inundated with your label personalisation requests with everything from birthdays to weddings, graduations to engagements and even the odd baby (presumably for the new parents, not the new offspring!)
 
Despite some weird and wonderful designs passing through PunkDog HQ, we’re on a mission to make sure each and every one of you get the most out of your label personalisation experience.
 
With this mind, we’ve decided to put together the definitive bite size guide full of inspiration to get those cogs whirring when the time comes to Punk your label. 
 
Ever wanted to see your face on a bottle of beer? With PunkDog you can do just but don’t be fooled, generic images swiped from Google simply won’t do. Take Christmas for example. It’s easy to use a search engine to get loads of festive-themed images but do you really want to crush all the uniqueness out of the PunkDog experience by opting for a design that wouldn’t look out of place on the shelf at Clinton cards? When it comes to images, we think that the more embarrassing and telling photos the better; especially those dug out and dusted down from old childhood or school photo albums which boast shock and ‘aww’ in equal measure. It’s time to leave no stone unturned.
 
Label Message:
 
A little bit like Twitter, our label making technology makes sure there’s no room for twaddle by reining you in to a thirty-two character limit. When every letter matters it’s important to get your message across from the offset and we give extra kudos to those that get as creative as possible despite the word limit. A good starting place is a witty repartee on the back of your chosen photograph. ‘Happy birthday, love mum and dad’ is a touching(ly bland) remark but nothing different from a shop bought card you might find lurking in the deepest, darkest depths of Tesco. Don’t worry though, we’re not total scrooges when it comes to the word limit which is why you have the back of the label to get those creative juices flowing, really spill your heart out and completely wax lyrical about your wonderful recipient.
 
Choose your beer:
 
Finally, once you’ve tweaked and tuned your label to perfection it’s time to choose the beer you want to personalise. Making your gift as unique as possible doesn’t end with the label as choosing a beer that compliments the palette of your recipient - coupled with your personalised label - really is the full package.
