On the campaign trail

We've said it before and we'll say it again – when it comes to PunkDog, you can customise those labels for absolutely any occasion. Birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, bah-mitzvahs; you name it, there's a PunkDog for it.

With that in mind, we were pretty disappointed to see that all three of the big political parties failed to jump on the label personalisation bandwagon during their General Election campaigns.

Who knows, things would have turned out very differently if Brown had turned up at constituents' doors with a bottle or two of customised Punk IPA whereas Cameron might've even managed to soften more Scottish voters...just as long as he didn't put a picture of Thatch' on the bottle.

In fact each of the BrewDog beers available to 'Punk lend themselves eerily well to the three main parties, especially if their labels looked something like this:

'79 Lager: Usually called '77 lager, the Tories would undoubtedly take the opportunity to hark back to their glory days with a limited edition '79 range. Printed in the traditional shade of 'blue blood'  and equipped with a striking portrait of David Cameron, every bottle would also come with its very own 'shoot your own fox' coupon.

Punk IPA: Following rumours of Gordon Brown's fiery temper, the unforgiving and punchy taste of Punk IPA lends itself perfectly to Labour's campaign. Labour's impromptu election strap line of 'bigoted woman' would definitely have to make an appearance on the bottle for extra impact.

Trashy Blonde: If the General Election was based on looks and took on more of an America's Next Top Model style twist, Clegg would have won hands down; mainly because there wasn't much competition. Naturally, 'Cleggmania' has lead to a following of 'cleggettes', so there's definitely room to marketing Trashy Blonde as the official drink of any Lib Dem groupie.
